It can be raining in Seattle (up to 36 inches of rain annually), and most likely it is sunny in the islands. The San Juans’ receive about 18"-20" of rain annually.

Usually summer days in the San Juan's are in the low 70s, but bring a jacket because it is always a bit cooler on the water. The mild island climate makes it great for outdoor activities both on and off the water.

Great boat, great scenery, great wildlife viewing and great fun!!

San Juan Island also offers plenty of hiking, biking, shopping, galleries, mopeding, history, museums, a winery, a lavender farm, an alpaca farm, a farmers market and many fine restaurants. Consider spending at least a couple of days. San Juan Island has over 50 lodging facilities. San Juan Safaris can assist you with lodging selections.

San Juan Island is located in the northwest corner of Washington State. Seattle is 90 minutes from where you catch the ferry. Half the fun is getting there!

San Juan Safaris is located steps from the ferry dock and a short walk from the seaplane dock.
