Overview
Knight Inlet Lodge offers a fly-in wildlife trip you'll never forget. View Grizzly Bears fishing for salmon in the world renowned Glendale River. Interact with Orca (Killer), Humpback and Minke Whales while they, too, feed on the migrating salmon. Watch Black Bears foraging on the beaches and Bald Eagles swooping on a fish. Other animals in the wilderness include Timber Wolves, Sea Lions, Otters, Loons, and many more.
As in African Safaris, they keep their group size per boat down to two to four guests, each boat with an experienced guide.
The lodge is comfortable and uncrowded with a maximum of ten guests only. A place where you can relax, wander the garden, enjoy the hot tub, or just admire the wilderness view. This relaxing atmosphere is appreciated after an exciting and eventful day with the bears and whales. The food is excellent, featuring seafood dishes (Dungeness crab, local prawn and salmon) as well as meat dishes (prime rib, etc).
On a three-day/night, trip you'll spend part of the first day viewing Black Bears, another day with the Grizzly Bears and a final day interacting with the whales and other sea mammals. Extra day(s) can include fijord trips, river hikes with the salmon, and native cultural side trips.
